Are you looking for role playing and real time strategy games? Then you are looking at the right list.
Strategy game genre was first invented in 1938 when Winston Churchill looked out of an airplane window and thought about how cool a videogame it will make. Since then, there have been about a hundred million strategy games.
Here are 5 role playing and real time strategy games you should consider. (NB- You can check out some games review on Reviewsbird.com)
1. The Crusader Kings 3
The crusader kings games are strategy/RPG hybrids. This means that apart from spending time commanding troops and conquering territory, you will also spend time fretting about the day to day life of the ruler you are controlling. You will have to pay attention to every detail of your family drama which is as important as the southern front. If not, your ruler collapses on the throne room and when he does, you will assume control of their heir and live with the consequences of your previous actions.
The Crusader Kings is therefore a grand strategy game which has been true with previous games in the series. However, Crusader 3 has a more refined interface so you can focus on the characters more than the numbers that underpin them. If you have not played crusader kings before, then the CK3 is where you should start. And if you are a seasoned player of the CKs then you don’t need to be told what is great about the series. 3. Europa Universalis 4
In Europa Universalis, you get to write history yourself which makes it stand out among other games that make you a part of history. With no fixed win states, Europa Universalis lets you run wild with historical events while still keeping the rails on. It has an interesting concept which appeals to both those who are yet to find the grand strategy game with the perfect setting and history buffs. However, its intricate system makes it difficult to get into for beginners.
4. StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty
Starcraft is one of the games that turn out to be pillars of the genre. It is only fair that its successor really offers more of the same but in a shinier package of course. The Starcraft 2 presentation is very astounding even after a decade of its … Read More..
